1. Storage period
Ⅰ. Each product has a storage period. According to international and domestic standards, the storage period refers to the storage period at room temperature (24°C). For acrylic adhesives, it is 20°C.
Ⅱ. For acrylic products, the higher the temperature, the shorter the storage period.
Ⅲ.For water-based products, if the temperature is below -1°C, it will directly affect the product quality.
2. Strength
Ⅰ. There is no universal glue in the world. It is best to use special adhesives for different adherends.
Ⅱ. If the strength of the adherend itself is low, then there is no need to use high-strength products, otherwise, it will be a waste of resources and increase costs.
Ⅲ. Don't just focus on high initial strength, but also consider good durability.
Ⅳ. The performance of high-temperature cured adhesives is much higher than that of room temperature cured adhesives. If high strength and good durability are required, high-temperature cured adhesives should be used.
Ⅴ. Except for emergency or small-area repairs and continuous production, a cyanoacrylate glue (502 super glue) should not be used for materials that require high bonding strength.
3. Others
Ⅰ. White latex and urea-formaldehyde glue cannot be used to bond metal.
Ⅱ.For adhesives that require transparency, polyurethane glue, optical epoxy glue, saturated polyester glue, and polyvinyl alcohol acetal glue can be used.
Ⅲ. Adhesives should not be corrosive to the adherend. For example, solvent-based chloroprene adhesives cannot be used on polystyrene foam boards.
Ⅳ.Adhesives with high brittleness are not suitable for bonding soft materials.
4.Precautions when using AB glue
Ⅰ. For adhesives with AB components, please mix them according to the requirements of the instructions.
Ⅱ. For adhesives with AB components, be sure to stir them thoroughly before use. No dead corners can be left, otherwise they will not solidify.
Ⅲ. The adherend must be cleaned and free of moisture (except for underwater curing adhesive).
Ⅳ. To achieve high bonding strength, the adherend should be polished as much as possible.
Ⅴ. The quality of the design of the bonding joint determines the bonding strength.
Ⅵ. When using adhesives, be sure to mix them immediately and do not leave them for too long. For fast curing, it should generally not exceed 2 minutes.
Ⅶ. If you want high strength and fast curing, you can heat it according to the situation. When applying glue, it should not be too thick. Generally, 0.5mm is better. The thicker the adhesive, the worse the bonding effect.
Ⅷ. When bonding objects, it is best to apply pressure or fix them with a clamp.
Ⅸ. To make the strength higher, it is best to leave it for 24 hours after bonding.
Ⅹ. For single-component solvent-based or water-based products, be sure to stir them evenly when using them.
XⅠ. For solvent-based products, after applying the glue, be sure to let it cool until it is no longer sticky before gluing.
