Proper subfloor preparation is essential to ensure long-term adhesion and performance.
Measure the installation area carefully to minimize dimensional errors.
Mark layout reference lines using a chalk line according to the installation plan.
Arrange welding lines and decorative patterns properly to reduce material waste.
Whether using PVC sheets (rolls) or PVC tiles (planks), the material should be stored at the job site for at least 24 hours before installation. This allows the material to acclimate to the room temperature and recover its dimensional stability.
Trim sheet edges using a professional edge trimmer.
For tiles, ensure tight joints without visible gaps.
For sheet flooring, overlap seams by approximately 3 cm and perform a double-cut to create a precise joint.
If the flooring has directional patterns, maintain consistent orientation throughout installation.
Select an adhesive suitable for PVC flooring and use the appropriate notched trowel.
Fold back half of the sheet.
Clean both the subfloor and the back of the flooring.
Apply adhesive evenly to the subfloor.
Wait for the adhesive open time according to temperature conditions (adhesive should be tacky but not overly wet).
Lay the flooring carefully to prevent air bubbles.
Repeat the process for the other half.
Flip tiles from the center outward.
Clean the surfaces.
Apply adhesive and install evenly.
After laying, use a steel roller to firmly press the flooring into the adhesive.
After bonding, immediate rolling is required to enhance adhesion.
First, use a cork block to smooth the surface and remove trapped air.
Then use a 50–75 kg steel roller to roll the entire surface evenly in multiple directions.
Roll twice to ensure full adhesive contact.
Remove excess adhesive promptly.
If air bubbles appear, press them out manually or with a cork tool.
After 24 hours, welding can begin (if required).
Seam grooving must be performed after the adhesive has completely cured.
Use a professional grooving machine.
Cut a U-shaped groove approximately 2.5 mm wide and about two-thirds to three-quarters of the flooring thickness.
Do not cut through the flooring.
Clean dust and debris from the groove before welding.
Proper grooving ensures strong and seamless weld joints.
Hot-air welding creates a seamless and hygienic finish, especially important for healthcare and industrial environments.
Use a manual welding gun or automatic welding machine.
Set the appropriate temperature according to the welding rod specifications.
Insert the welding rod into the nozzle and weld at a steady speed.
After welding (wait approximately 10–15 minutes):
Perform rough trimming using a crescent knife with a trimming guide plate.
Complete fine trimming to make the seam flush with the floor surface.
A properly welded seam should be:
Straight
Smooth
Crack-free
Free from burn marks
Visually integrated with the floor surface
