The flooring industry is witnessing a significant shift in installation methodology with the rapid adoption of advanced acrylic Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) technologies. As resilient flooring materials evolve, manufacturers are increasingly turning to PSA tapes and liquid adhesives as a high-performance alternative to conventional wet adhesives .
Acrylic PSAs offer distinct advantages over traditional trowel-applied adhesives, which are often messy, require high skill levels, and demand extended cure times before floors can be used . These new-generation adhesives are engineered to deliver strong, durable bonds while accommodating modern flooring materials like luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and plank (LVP).
