Shear strength test. Apply a force parallel to the bonded surface, and record the failure stress through single lap shear or double lap shear tests. This test is generally used to measure the strength of planar bonds in metals, plastics, composite materials, etc.
Peel strength test. Measures the force required to peel the adhesive layer from the substrate, typically at a specific angle (e.g., 180°). And record the peel force curve. This is used to test the adhesive's bonding performance on flexible materials.
Environmental aging test. Simulates changes in strength under conditions. Such as humidity, temperature cycling, UV exposure, or chemical environments. This is generally used to test the adhesive's durability in complex environmental conditions.
Impact strength testing. Measure the energy absorbed by the bonded parts when they break using a pendulum impact or drop ball test. This is used to assess the toughness of the adhesive under dynamic loads. It is suitable for testing the impact resistance of adhesives in automobiles or electronic devices.
